Description
RCA Records label (German pressing 1956, No. EPB – 1254 - 1), cover is of the "stitched" edition (very rare) and is in a very good condition other than two small rips.
Unfortunately, the record has two cracks near to the label (just below “Manufactured in Germany” and opposite from “Resco”) and I believe someone has made an unsuccessful attempt to repair this record as side 1 shows traces of some form of glue.
The record label shows no spindle marks and the songs are: Side 1, Blue Suede Shoes; I`m Counting On You. Side 2, I`m Gonna Sit Right Down And Cry; I’ll Never Let You Go.
Despite the damage, the record plays very well but the song “ I’m Counting On You” starts off well and the sound becomes a little distorted when the needle enters the “repair or glue” zone. The other tracks are rated only as a “very good” due to a little hiss (not bad at all when you consider that this record is nearly fifty years old!).
