Description
ELVIS PRESLEY – “FRANKIE AND JOHNNY” – (LPM-3553) – First Pressing from 1966 with BONUS PHOTO and SHRINK STICKER!
RECORD: NM- and exhibiting full original gloss! There are just a few extremely light surface scuffs that should have absolutely no effect on the audible performance. This Rockaway pressing should play like NEW! The labels are beautiful, NM. This is an Original Soundtrack recording, released in 1966 in Monaural and includes the hit single “FRANKIE AND JOHNNY / PLEASE DON’T STOP LOVING ME”. The matrix numbers end with 1S/7S.
COVER: NM- with 100% of the Shrink Wrap as well as the RARE Shrink Sticker announcing the Bonus Photo inside the album! The only reason for the “minus” part is due to a couple of minor bend marks on the front of the cover from removing the record. This is a common infraction seen on many album covers. On the back side, in the white area to the right, is a name written in ball-point pen. It is written on the shrink and there are no tears from the writing, but impression may be on the cover itself. A couple additional price stickers had also been applied to the cover when new, but were later torn away, leaving just what we see here. A truly beautiful cover!
INNER SLEEVE: The original “ELVIS’ GREAT LP CATALOG” (40B) inner sleeve from the era.
BONUS PHOTO: NM- with nice, sharp corners and edges. There is some impression from being stored up against the record, plus a few light handling wrinkles toward the upper portion. A truly amazing Bonus Photo that is 50 years old this year!
SONG LISTING:
SIDE 1: Frankie and Johnny; Come Along; Petunia, the Gardener’s Daughter; Chesay; What Every Woman Lives For; Look Out, Broadway.
SIDE 2: Beginner’s Luck; Down by the Riverside and When the Saints Go Marching In; Shout It Out; Hard Luck; Please Don’t Stop Loving Me; Everybody Come Aboard.
GOOD LUCK!
