Description
ELVIS PRESLEY - “G. I. BLUES” (LPM-2256), A RARE, ONE YEAR ONLY "MONO" PRESSING FROM 1963! RECORD: G+ with the usual amount of surface scuffs & scratches associated with that grade, even though the vinyl retains much original gloss. I did test-play this record in its entirety and even though there were the expected "ticks" and general surface noise, there were no skips or repeats experienced! This Hollywood pressing exhibits those typical brilliant label colors that Hollywood is known to deliver. However, there is wear about the spindle hole as well as some spindle marks and surface wear. The matrix numbers end with 3S/15S. This album was originally released in October of 1960. The all-Silver print "MONO" and "STEREO" labels were released in late 1963 and lasted until about November of 1964, making this album a ONE-YEAR ISSUE, hence, quite scarce to say the least! COVER: VG with a lower central edge break from the record shifting toward that direction at some point. There is no further splitting and there is no tape, writing or staple holes whatsoever. There is some light to moderate ring wear, but mainly on the back side. The spine is sound and mostly legible with some spotted wear being the factor. The back slick has some disturbance along the right edge, where a small tear has occurred. Some usual corner wear is also noticed. INNER SLEEVE: The original gray RCA Victor sleeve.
GOOD LUCK! I COMBINE SHIPPING! $4 for the first LP, then 25 cents for each additional LP. I do not ship outside of the United States and Canada! I have experienced too many issues with Customs in the past. I ship all records in the CORRECT cardboard record mailers, specifically designed for shipping these historic and tough-to-replace treasures to your doorstep in the same condition as when they leave my hands. USPS has been known to find a way to bend these boxes on occasion, hard as that may be to believe, so items valued at $30 or more will be shipped automatically with insurance at no additional cost to the buyer. ALL of my records are U.S. pressings unless otherwise stated. Payment is expected within 5 (Five) days from close of auction via PAY PAL ONLY – NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE. I normally ship within three business days from close of auction, but please allow a little extra time in the event of a holiday. Returns are accepted if you are accepted if you are not completely satisfied with your item. I strongly believe that my grading of records is spot-on, but we’re all human and something may occasionally be missed upon inspection. I will do my best to ensure customer satisfaction. 2017 marks 39 years of experience for me in this wonderful hobby. I specialize in Elvis Presley.
