ELVIS PRESLEY - G. I. BLUES (LSP-2256), A BEAUTIFUL FIRST PRESSING IN "LIVING STEREO"! A 1960 ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK RECORDING

RECORD:  VG++ (EXC) with very pleasing, glossy surfaces. There are some very light surface scuffs, however. I played this record in it's entirety and it played beautifully! Near perfect sound from start to finish. By "near perfect", I simply mean that you can tell that it is a record and not a CD. Very light, spotted surface noise can be heard in some areas. "Big Boots", a very soft song, played fantastic, with just a few subtle "ticks". This 1960 Original Soundtrack recording is an Indianapolis pressing with attractive labels, marred only by some spindle marks and fingerprinting. Although this album produced no immediate hit singles, it includes "Wooden Heart" and a re-make of the 1956 single "Blue Suede Shoes". This was one of Elvis' biggest selling Original Soundtrack Recordings. The matrix numbers on this record end with 1S/1S.   

COVER:  NM- with just some very light surface scuffing from contact with other LP's over the years. The spine is strong and fully legible. The upper and lower edges are very smooth and consistent. Definitely no seam splits, which is extremely rare for these earlier issues! Of course, there is no tape, staple holes or writing. This is a great copy in every aspect and is deserving of placement in a high-end collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia.
