Description
Offered here is an original 1960 mono pressing of G.I. Blues by Elvis Presley on the RCA Victor label (catalog number LPM-2256). This is an early Hollywood pressing with matrix numbers L2PP-3657–10S and L2PP-3658–9S machine-stamped in the runouts.
The record features the classic RCA Victor black label with the “Nipper” dog logo at the top and “NEW ORTHOPHONIC” HIGH FIDELITY branding below the track listing.
Vinyl condition:
The vinyl is in excellent condition with a deep gloss and no visible scratches. There are a couple of light, superficial sleeve marks under direct light and some spindle marks around the center hole, consistent with careful handling.
Outer jacket condition:
The front cover displays strong, vivid color and sharp print. Two corners show some wear, and there is minor edge rubbing. No seam splits or writing. The spine is in good shape.
Original inner sleeve condition:
The original RCA Victor paper inner sleeve is in good condition with one small split along one side and a slight fold in one corner. The paper shows overall uniform age discoloration, except for a distinct lighter-toned band along the edges—likely due to adhesive used in manufacturing that prevented aging in those areas. This creates a framed or bordered appearance. Please see the close-up photos for accurate visual reference.

Pricing Justification:
This listing is priced competitively based on current market value for comparable early pressings in collector-grade condition. You’re buying from a trusted and honest seller—what you see and read is exactly what you’ll get, with no surprises. You’ll also receive high-quality packaging and fast shipping, as noted in the section below.
Albums are shipped with the vinyl in archival quality premium rice paper anti-static master inner sleeves, with the original inner sleeve and outer jacket separate to prevent damage during shipping. The 3 parts (Vinyl record, original inner sleeve and outer jacket) are then carefully placed inside a heavy-duty 3 mil clear plastic sleeve, then placed in a cardboard record mailer, with bubble wrap or cardboard to prevent shifting during shipping and finally protected from moisture by a large poly mailer.
