Artist: Elvis Presley Title: Elvis' Golden Records Label/Number: RCA LPM-1707 (M) Jacket condition: EX Record condition: NM Notes: For my long time customers who may have missed me, I had an accident in early August (tore both my quadriceps tendons). That resulted in a major surgery, two weeks in the hospital, and another couple of months home bound with leg braces from hip to ankle. Just got the braces removed, am allowed to walk with a walker, and installed a stair lift to the basement where all of my records, along with my PC, are housed. I'm easing back into the eBay record business so, if you've found me again, please stay with me. For new record lovers who may be just discovering me, stay tuned. It may take me a while to get back into full swing, but I'm hopeful to be back to providing a great selection of LP's and 45's for everyone's enjoyment. As for the current listing, the cover is the original blue letters version and has "RE" on the back. It is in very nice condition with some light ring wear, a small (1 inch) split on the top seam at the opening, and the original $2.87 price sticker stapled to the top left corner. As noted, the labels are original "Long Play" versions and are in very nice condition with no flaws of note. The vinyl is bright and glossy with a couple of very light surface scuffs but nothing to warrant grading it down from NM. As added bonuses the record is still contained in its original RCA inner sleeve and the package contains a very nice example of the original "Fabulous Offer!" insert. The "offer" is for a "beautiful booklet of 12 Elvis Presley pictures for only 25 cents". Grading: Grading is usually only visual for VG+ or better items, although if time allows I may play to verify the quality of a pressing or just to hear the music. VG items are usually only listed if they are fairly hard-to-find items and are always play graded. Regardless of the grade, if I do play the LP, I note the results in the item description. I use Goldmine standards with Ebay's EX grade added for items NOT QUITE up to NM; but please read the notes above as I try to note anything that might influence the grading one way or another. I try to be conservative and grade as though I were buying the record and hope my feedback speaks well for my grading. Mono (M) or Stereo (S) is noted after catalog number. Don't hesitate to e-mail questions. Mailing and costs: Domestic shipping is via USPS, media mail with delivery confirmation. I ship in cardboard mailers made specifically for records with additional cardboard pads for added protection. Shipping and handling charges are a flat $4.00 for the first LP and $1.00 per additional LP. Overseas shipping on purchases under $100.00 may be sent by USPS First Class Mail International but I will upgrade at the buyer's request. Orders for more than $100.00 will need to be by Priority Mail International. This provides added protection for both the buyer and for me. The price will be the actual shipping costs plus $1.50 for the mailer and pads noted above. I know that customs charges are problematic but, sorry to say, I cannot lower the value on the customs form below the purchase price.
I always mail in a poly sleeve with the record outside the jacket. If there's an original inner sleeve I also remove the record from that and put it in a plain sleeve for mailing. That way, there are no seam splits on either the jacket or the sleeve due to any handling in the mail. I'm always happy to combine shipping costs for multiple purchases.
