Description
From circa 1955 Elvis Presley 78 rpm record with the names "Scotty and Bill" beneath the Main Man on the original Sun label out of Memphis TN #210. This early recording by Elvis leads me to believe that he was part of a 'quartet' or trio? / e.g. 'The Beatles' band in the early days cuz while listening to this record I only hear Elvis's lead singing accompanied by the stand-up Bass, electric guitar (probably a Silvertone?) and percussion that's it! I really love that early pure raw Elvis sound, that psychobilly-rockabilly-blues-rockin'style. That to me was the true Elvis. The way it was meant to be played before he became a Mega-Star and a commercial success. But hey that's just me, just sayin' Now as for the condition the vintage 78 record (Good) shows various scratches both sides and does have that scratchy / surface noise upon play. Also the record shows a slight dish or warp but this does not affect play. No skips, jumps or repeats.Good does not mean bad. The labels are as seen in the photos with tol and writing on the A-side and wol on the B-side. Sun Recording studios was the first to record the young Elvis back in the day. Other early greats on the list to record on the Sun label were Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Jerry Lee Lewis are the ones that come to mind so Elvis was in good company or should I say a stable of legends in which fine music was produced. If only I was a fly on the wall back then. This bird has flown. Thanks for looking!
