Very Good Plus (VG+):  Record shows some signs that it was played or handled, with care taken of it.  Record shows some signs of slight scuffs, or very light scratches that don't effect the sound. 

Very Good (VG):  Surface noise will be evident, especially during soft passages.  Groove wear will start to be noticable.

Good (G):  Good does not mean bad!  Record can be played through without skipping.
