Description

Elvis Presley - Heartbreak Hotel/ I Was The One

(HMV 7M 385 UK 7" 1956)

This is a 1956 UK original 7" single pressing. The record has purple & gold "HMV" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. It has 1st press -1N/ -1N matrix stampers. It comes with an original 1950's HMV company paper sleeve. A genuine UK 1st pressing of this classic single. Gold print copies are rare!

Vinyl: Unfortunately, there is a mild or very mild edge warp. It plays fine, but the warp causes some intermittent bits of crackle for a few revolutions. As stated, the single plays through the edge warp very well overall.

Otherwise, there are some light, mild or more moderate sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. There are a couple of light hairline marks. Visually the disc looks in VG condition. But because of the very mild edge warp, Good+ condition. The labels are in VG++ condition & show very mild spindle wear only. Overall, the labels are very nice & clean. The company paper sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some light to mild ringwear & fading. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light, mild or more moderate crackle in the background. Which is more noticeable in the quieter places. It never overpowers the music. There are no noticeable clicks or pops.
