Description
Elvis’ biggest selling side of the 50’s was Don’t Be Cruel, but in the UK it was never regarded as anything other than the B-side of Hound Dog, which was a UK number two in 1956, staying in the charts for 23 weeks.
Most people would have bought the 78 but this is the original Purple & Gold label 45rpm on the glorious His Master’s Voice label. As far as the condition, it is at least VG condition but harbours on being EX. There are a few noticeable surface marks with a light scratch on Hound Dog, which results in a few minor clicks when listened to on a stereo player under headphones. This would almost certainly be negligible when played in mono. Don’t Be Cruel shows very little signs of wear. Overall it is in surprisingly good condition for something that is now 52 years old.
Labels are in excellent condition with the original centre still very much intact and no writing on them. Comes in a company sleeve but there is a different title written in pen on it.
