Elvis Presley - KISSIN' COUSINS (LSP-2894) - No Cast Photo on Front

As I continue to auction my 35-year-plus collection of Elvis Presley records, you now have the opportunity to bid on this beautiful, NM copy of "KISSIN' COUSINS" (LSP-2894). This is the RARE "No Cast Photo" variety! The cover does not have the film stars black & white photo on the front! By late 1965 when RCA Victor had exhausted the supply of First Pressings of this album, they began to print new cover slicks, leaving off the cast photo. This album contained either a left-over "Silver Top" logo record or the new "White Top" logo, as you see here. The Matrix Numbers on this record are (Side 1): RPRS 0230--6S and (Side 2): RPRS 0231--6S. The cover grades VG+ with some fading along the spine as though this album sat on a shelf in front of a window for several years. There is some wrinkling along the spine along with the fading. There is a lower seam break (not really that noticable) along with some lower edge and corner wear. There is also some light ring wear, mostly on the front and at the top and the bottom portions. There is no other seam splits, tape, writing, grafitti, stickers or staple holes whatsoever! The reason for this cover being so much more valuable than the original version is that upon initial release, all of Elvis' fans ran to their local record shop and snatched up the first issue. By the time these later copies were on the shelves, not many adoring fans needed it for their collection, so they just sat until buyers trickled in by small numbers to buy a copy. This record and cover are simply amazing and would make for a fine trophy for the serious collector of  Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia. This album will come with its original "ELVIS" Inner Sleeve of the era, depicting Elvis' full record catalog. This record will be shipped with the record separated from the cover to prevent seam splits from the record sliding around during transit.

Please note: I ship all records in cardboard record mailers and not those flimsy bubblewrap envelopes that offer no real protection against breakage.
