1. The South African postal system is extremely slow. YOUR ITEM CAN TAKE ANYWHERE BETWEEN 2-4 MONTHS TO REACH YOU since all international mail except mail to the UK is routed via Johannesburg. Your package can take even longer to reach you if it is delayed in Customs in your country. Mail to the UK usually takes between 4-6 weeks, but is often quicker. Items are shipped as soon as my local bank makes available your PayPal payment. Once your item is shipped, we have no control over the delivery time. Grading is conservative.

VINYL

Visually:

USED, pre-enjoyed, but not abused. There are some scratches, scuffs, and markings on both sides. There are some spindle marks on both labels (please see photos).

Audio grading: Side 1

King Of The Whole Wide World – some crackle, but plays well – grades between VG and VG+

I’m Not The Marrying Kind – audible light wear on occasion – grades between VG- and VG

She’s Not You – perhaps the song with the most noticeable wear; or, at least, initially – grades as G+ or VG- for the first part of the song and then it improves and grades between VG- and VG.

This Is Living – grades between VG and VG+

Angel – some audible crackle, but fine – grades as VG- overall; occasionally grades between VG- and VG

Whistling A Tune – some crackle – grades as VG- overall; occasionally grades between VG- and VG

Although the LP has been played before and there are some traces of wear – mainly on Side 1 – there is no distortion and no groove wear. No ‘pops’, either. The record plays well despite occasional crackle on AND in between most songs. What sonic imperfections are audible from time to time do not overwhelm the music. The sound on this RCA pressing is excellent. Most songs on Side 2 grade between VG and VG+ whereas most songs on Side 1 tend to grade between VG- and VG (please see individual song gradings provided above). The record is still fully playable and enjoyable despite its flaws. Plays right through without ‘skips’, ‘sticks’ or ‘jumps’.

COVER

The front-laminated flip back cover grades between Fair and Good, but is in Good condition overall for its age (please see notes below).

The cover has miniscule tears, tiny markings, scuff marks, light ring wear, some creasing, and slight laminate lift in places next to the spine.

There is corner wear to all four corners – especially the bottom corners – and the rear of the cover has noticeable dirt and markings (the reason why the initial grading was between Fair and Good).

There is also some minor wear, in places, to the opening.

On the plus side – as can be seen in the photos – the colours and images on the front of the cover still look good and the laminate still has plenty of shine.

The cover is still intact and fully functional, with no splits to the seams.

No writing. No noticeable or obvious tears.

The lettering on the spine is still perfectly legible.

Overall: not a pristine copy, but still in collectible condition. With respect to the vinyl, play is generally better on Side 2.
