Elvis Presley LP. ( Rock ‘n’ Roll No.2 ). HMV CLP 1105 ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING.
This record is the second album that Elvis Recorded. A record that all Elvis Fans want in their collection. More often than not they turn up trashed, especially the sleeve. These sleeves were made of very thin card and were easily damaged when taking the record in and out of the sleeve. So quite rare to find a decent sleeve.
The sleeve on this one I have graded as VG +, it is all there and not torn to pieces. There are creases here and there, some damage to the spine that interferes with the spine text. The flip overs are intact, there is some laminate lift on the back of the sleeve. So the sleeve has edge wear but not all that bad. The bottom right hand corner on the front has been coloured in, looks like there might have been some laminate lift that took the colour off in the past. This is only a small area. ( Please look at the photo’s carefully ).
The record is housed in the original inner sleeve that is in great condition.
Both of the labels are in pretty good condition, the gold text is bright and clear and all readable. There are some weird marks on both of the labels, this has happened during the Pressing process. There are spindle marks as you would expect. 1N - 2N Matrixes.
The disc is in superb condition and has a really nice sheen. There are 2 or 3 light scratches but you do not hear this when the record is played. The sound quality is really very good. No warping either.
This is a really good all round collectible record, nice condition. An Elvis collectors dream, you must have this one in your collection. A near mint one of these will set you back £800 - £1000.
This will be started at a reasonable price. GOOD LUCK WITH THE BIDDING.
