Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Love Me Tender / Anyway You Want Me released in the USA.
The record itself (47-6643 )is in EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.
The labels are CLEAN and have NO WRITING .(see photos)
This is the RARE issue WITHOUT THE HORIZONTAL LINE. (you could say this is this U.S equivilant of HMV Silver WRITING UK issue!)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $100 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD+ )for the sleeve alone!!!
THIS IS 1 OF THE 4 SLEEVES ISSUED!!
This sleeve is over 57 years old and there are a few signs of ageing.
This would grade higher , however there is a seam split 3/4 of the way along one side and some small rips to the top opener and one one the rear(see photos)
On the plus side there is NO WRITING and the colours are still nice and Elvis' image is not affected by the rips.
This is also the mega rare BLACK and WHITE issued sleeve, which is by far the hardest to come across (and only the second i have had for sale in nearly 12 years of selling on ebay!)
Overall this was valued at about $130(£84+) back in 2008, so i guess it must be around £85+ now.
I will start this at under HALF of that!!
THIS WOULD MAKE A SUPERB AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT MINT £130+ COPY COMES ALONG!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
