Elvis Presley “Milkcow Blues Boogie”/“You’re A Heartbreaker” RCA Victor 447-0603 Orange Label 1968 Pressing
Originally issued as Sun 215 in 1955 and then reissued late that year by RCA Victor, Elvis’ third single was pressed by the company on black, white, orange, red, and, finally black labels again during the singer’s lifetime.
The orange label pressings were short runs beginning in 1968 and uncommonly found today. Some, like “Jailhouse Rock” and several of the EPs, sell for considerable sums.
This copy grades in Very Good (VG) condition visually and has also been cleaned with an ultrasonic record cleaner. “Milkcow Blues Boogie” plays in solid VG+ condition. “Heartbreaker” is similar - one small “swoosh” in the last 20 seconds. Otherwise no sustained loud pops or ticks.
The RCA sleeve is in VG+ condition with two small old staple holes at the top from the retailer and a 1969 copyright at the bottom.

Provenance: This copy belonged to a Massachusetts disc jockey and Elvis collector who died in 2024. It is the only one of the orange label reissues of the five original “Suns” in his collection.
