RARE EARLY PRESS LOGO POSITION

Vinyl

Fanatstic sheen to the vinyl. Very shiny, very rich- some light surface marks on either side - visible really only under a harsh light - more on side two than on side 1. Would grade overall EX+. This would also appear to be a very early press, since it carries the mother/stampers 1GD/1GD of The Gramophone Co. Ltd, and would signify one of the very earliest batches.

Cover

These sleeves were notoriously thin and flimsy and it is very unusual to find one in such good condition with so little creasing or discolouration and such original shine and colour. There is some wear at the record entrance with a 1cm tear to the right of the 'Y' of Presley which the previous owner has taped only from the inside. The back cover is creamy and clean, with no writing - and almost unmarked though the 1cm tear from the front has carried through to the back. The flip backs are strong and intact. Both sides carry a few small creases. The spine is intact with just some fading to the 'Presley' of the title.

Unusual 'early' back cover logo version

Please note the cover carries the unsual configuration of the HMV logo to the left of the cover as opposed to the middle of the bottom block of text where it usually sits in other first presses. This would mark it out as a very early copy!!!

Inner sleeve

Is the original HMV sleeve the record came in, with purple letteing on a clean white background. It is sturdy and crisp and shows little sign of wear and tear.

Labels

The labels are in excellent condition with some minimal fading to the gold lettering on either side. On side one there is also a very small mark in the middle of the lettering between tracks 2 and 3.
