Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: Elvis Presley - No 2 - RARE Vinyl LP album 1957.
Re-Listed Due to non-payer. Here we go again.
Original UK 1957 pressing on the HMV label.
This one has the "His Master's Voice" logo on the left of the rear of the sleeve.
His Master's Voice ?– CLP 1105
Vinyl Condition: Poor/Fair (Record is in pretty poor condition with lots of surface marks, scratches and scuffs on both sides. It looks well used. However the record does play better than it looks. There is lots of surface crackle and clicks pops but no sticks. There was a jump on side 1 track 4 but apat from that there were no other jumps. There were continuous clicks and pops on the first track on side 2 due to some marks. There are a few little nicks to the first tracks of each side but plays fine with some pops. Overall please do not expect this to be better than it is. There is a name written on the centre label on side 1 and there are foxing marks. In the photo the record does not look too bad but trust me it is heavily marked. Overall it is a well used but playable original and is a decent entry level for the price).
Inner sleeve Condition: G (Inner sleeve is not the original).
Outer Sleeve Condition: Fair (There are some surface tears and some wear marks to the front and some ring wear. There are also lots of dark dirt marks which won't come off and some surface tears and scratches from when it must have got stuck to another record at some point. There is edge and corner wear & creasing. There are some creases and rips to the laminate. Bottom right corner has an approx 2cm tear along the bottom. Some small tears to the opening. Overall considering this sleeve is notoriously flimsy it is ok and does not have any large tears or bits missing like a lot of others do).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
If you would like further information on sleeve or record condition then please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Please note: Due to the large amount of CD’s and records that I am selling, I don’t have time to include the track listings. If the track listing is important to you then please email me and I will send you the track list.
