Description
Purchase a piece of history!! This is an original, first pressing of Elvis Sun Record #210 "Good Rockin' Tonight/I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine." There are a few aspects of this
record which make it one of the most unique and sought after Elvis pieces in the world:
- The first photo shows the record in its original brown paper sleeve (still in great condition).
- The second and third photos give an idea as to the condition of the record itself (I'd rate it conservatively at VG, but it is in better shape than many I've seen on ebay with that same rating). The photos do a good job of depicting the condition.
- The famous Sun punch marks are clearly present in most of the photos.
- The fourth photo shows the error (indicative of first pressings) in the spelling of songwriter Roy Brown's name. On this record, it is spelled "Ray Brown."
- Also indicative of a first pressing is the lack of publishing credit on the A-side - it lists only the "U-131" and "210" markers.
- Lastly, the sixth picture shows the hand scribed matrix numbers. Although many of the reproductions also feature these numbers, what they DON'T generally include is the final number "72" at the end in superscript.
