Original UK 1st press LP released in 1957 on the Black & Silver RCA Label. Cat: RC-24001. This LP is in MONO. Matrix numbers : H2WL-2762-1B & H2WL-2763-1B. Features fully laminated cover with cutaway flaps.
Over the next few weeks I will be offering a wonderful selection of rare mostly UK late 50's & 60's 1st pressing LP's and EP's. Obtained from and English gentleman who originally lived in Manchester and saw many of the great acts of the day in their prime. His enthusiasm and knowledge of this period of music and the amount of artists he saw was quite staggering and included Rolling Stones, Beatles, Eric Burdon & Animals, Manfred Mann, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Small Faces, Kinks, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Roy Orbison, Sam Cooke, this list went on and on! A fastidious collector his vinyl overall has been kept in fantastic condition especially considering some of the items are over 50 years old! Many of the items would have been bought within weeks of their original release dates. We offer combined postage on all items purchased. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to list his 45's in the near future. Over 300 wonderful items from the same period.
The very first RCA LP release in the UK by Elvis features songs from the movie 'Loving you'. Purporting to be the soundtrack to Elvis' second film, this album collects songs used in the film on one side with new material on the other.
Tracks: Mean woman blues/ (Let me be your) teddy bear/ Loving you/ Got a lot o' livin' to do/ Lonesome cowboy/ Hot dog/ Party/ True love.
Labels are both lovely and clean no marks, stickers or writing. Record has scuff marks and light scratches on both sides of record, there are light crackles throughout and a few light pops these are mostly noticeable between tracks and on the quiet songs Loving you & true love. No jumping or skipping on record. Record is in VG+ condition. Full gloss cover has slight scuffing on corners, a few light marks, some tiny surface tears around edges, a date written in blue pen on top right and a small tear on centre bottom edge of back flap. Cover is in VG+ condition.
We offer combined postage for multiple purchases. All records are sealed securely in a plastic sleeve and housed in a stiff cardboard mailer which is then wrapped in paper and sealed around edges with masking tape.
