Description

This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 EP release of ELVIS PRESLEY - Elvis Volume 1 released in the USA.

The record itself (EPA 992 dog on top) is in EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+  condition with some light visible marks/scratches (none too deep) and retains a lot of it's natural sheen.(see photos)

The centre labels have NO WRITING but there is some non sticky residue from a label on one side (see photos)

This is the RARER issue WITH Horizontal Silver Line.

The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2016 as $55 in the condition it is in now (which i would say is EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ ) for the sleeve alone!!!

This sleeve is in reasonably nice condition for the age. (see photos)

There are NO RIPS or TEARS.

There is a partial seam split along the side and a pencil price on the rear (which can easily be erased)

That all said it does not detract from the overall quality of this hard to find sleeve.

This is a really affordable collection filler until that MINT £95+ copy comes along.

The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!

Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $65(£53+ approx) .

I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £55

With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
