This is a very rare piece of Elvis Music/Memorabilia;   Issued in 1961, this limited 7" Pressing - Compact 33 - single with picture sleeve is Ultra Rare & Extremely hard to find these Vintage Vinyl Gems!!!

 Surrender" is a #1 song recorded by Elvis Presley and published by Elvis Presley Music in 1961.  It hit number one in the US and UK in 1961 and eventually became one of the best selling singles of all times. "Compact 33 Single" - In 1960/61, RCA announced the Compact 33 double and singles. In January 1961, these discs hit the market. The Compact 33 discs were released simultaneously with their 45 rpm counterparts. Deep Groove/Dynagroove Pressing; adding cutting edge “sound technology” to the disc cutting process, ostensibly to improve sound reproduction.  For marketing purposes – RCA began using big name artists, like Elvis Presley to propagate sales of the compact 33 – however, “45 RPM” record sales were still climbing at a record pace, the major discount stores cut retail prices by nearly 22%, and lack of inexpensive automatic 33-speed singles player discouraged the promotion of the compact 33. All these factors and more attribute to the extreme rarity of this single.

*** Elvis released five “Compact 33 singles” - all of which are rather rare and their picture sleeves are even rarer!!! This is not something that can be said about many of Elvis’ records, which were mass produced for commercial release by RCA.

Vinyl - VG/VG+ - Vinyl has maintained nice original shine & gloss - Shows light visual paper scuffs/hairline & vintage age - Light handling & play noted - There are no deep - feelable scratches & vinyl plays through without skipping or repeating - Light crackle in quieter track ***Dynamics for this small vinyl sounds incredible!!! *** As with any Vintage Vinyl Not Marked as MINT - you may hear faint background noise/ pops/clicks etc.

Picture Sleeve - VG/VG+ Paper Picture Sleeve Cover - Colors & picture are bright & clear - Light visible circle wear noted near center (snow effect/pls see up close photos) - All writing & Catalogue information is clean /clear & readable. Edges show light vintage age with handling & “softening” near opening - **light fraying of edge/paper noted with light age/discoloration - No tape /ink or odors noted

NM - Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new. EX+- close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect play. EX- A used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear. VG+- There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few scuffs - could include light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, still plays great. VG- significant wear and marks - would be noticeable - may have surface noise -still plays very well with no disruption. Good- Would only sell if the Record/Cover were Rare ~ Highly Desirable and/or Limited/Special Edition vinyl/jacket cover
