Elvis Presley: Rock N Roll Long Play Record - His Masters Voice - CLP 1093

Original UK Elvis Presley LP, titled Rock N Roll. Must be nearly 50 years old. Item is subsequently in a used condition as per shown below (please see photos). This was my Dad's purchased from new. It comes complete with both outer and inner sleeves. LP Record condition in my opinion looks to be good especially for it's age.

Record: Side 1 is marked 2XAV255 and Side 2 is marked 2XAV256.

Back cover is marked CLP 1093 His Masters Voice.

Info Added: 09/06/2005 Some very kind eBay member has sent me a link to a previous eBay auction from just a couple of months ago of the same LP on auction.

It turns out that this was Elvis's 1st UK Album and is something of a rarity.

It was released in October 1956 and the auction finished at a whopping £255.00

Edit 12/06/2005: I have taking the opportunity to retrieve a Record Player from the loft and have just played through this LP twice. I'm pleased to say it didn't jump or skip when played through both sides. There is however some slight surface noise/degradation in sound but I'm sure this is to be expected to a certain degree after nearly 50 years.

Record Collector Grading: I would say around Good to Fair as a guide.

Whilst I am not a 'Record Collector' as such, I always describe my items to the best of my ability and sincerely hopes this helps.

I have also taking the opportunity to go through some of my Dad's old Elvis EP's and Singles and have started listing a couple of them. Please check out my other items as there might be something else that'll take your tickle.
