Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: Elvis Presley - Rock N Roll - RARE Original UK Vinyl LP album from 1956.
Original UK HMV Pressing.
CLP 1093
2XAV 255 - 1N
2XAV 256 - 1N
Vinyl Condition: G (Visually the record has a lot of surface marks, light scratches and scuffs on both sides. However it plays superbly throughout. There is the odd click/pop but nothing major and the sound quality is very good for its age. There are some white scuff marks but these are light and are nothing to worry about. Overall the record has surface marks but really does play great. No sticks or jumps at all and no warps).
Inner sleeve Condition: G (Some yellowing and some stains. Otherwise ok).
Outer Sleeve Condition: Poor/Fair (Notoriously flimly slevee has noticeable wear and damage but is amazingly intact and most importantly complete. The top right corner has a surface tear. There is also a large rip from the opening of the sleeve which goes about three quarters of the war through the middle of the sleeve. This has cellotape marks from when cellotape was removed. The sleeve has been re-taped from the inside of the sleeve to stop it flopping about. There is also a smaller tear on the reverse. The back of the sleeve has cellotape residue stains, spine is worn and has a large split in the middle. Text is unreadable. There is some scuffing and dings to the top edge of the sleeve which has been touched up with black marker at some point. The bottom of the sleeve has a large split and some heavy wear. Overall some rips, tears ad wear. Not in the best conditon but at least its complete and looks decent enough).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
If you would like further information on sleeve or record condition then please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Please note: Due to the large amount of CD’s and records that I am selling, I don’t have time to include the track listings. If the track listing is important to you then please email me and I will send you the track list.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR POSTAGE ADDRESS IS UP TO DATE AND CORRECT BEFORE BIDDING.
