ELVIS PRESLEY - “SINGER PRESENTS ELVIS SINGING FLAMING STAR” (PRS-279), FROM 1968 - THE RARE BONUS PHOTO IS INCLUDED!
RECORD: NM- with beautiful, glossy surfaces! There are just some extremely light surface scuffs seen under a bright light that should have absolutely no effect on the audible performance. This record should play like new! The Mustard colored labels on this Rockaway pressing are simply gorgeous, with only a couple light spindle marks. This album was released in November of 1968 and marketed through Singer Sewing Centers. According to "Presleyana VII" (Jerry Osborne - 2012), Singer was allotted 100,000 copies to be sold nationwide in their stores. Once the supplies were exhausted the album was then produced under RCA Camden on their Blue Label and then distributed to record stores and department stores across America. The matrix numbers on this record end with 4S/5S.
COVER: VG++ with virtually no ring wear! there are also no seam splits, staple holes or writing. The only items keeping this cover from NM is a bit of corner wear as well as a small amount of lower edge wear; that's all! this is a beautiful and very original cover.
INNER SLEEVE: The original "ELVIS' Great LP Catalog" (40D) sleeve from the era.
BONUS PHOTO: VG+ due to a small water spot just behind Elvis' white collar (to the right) as well as a vertical edge bump of 1-inch just to the right of the water spot. this is the scarcer of the two available Bonus Photos that were available as "giveaways" to those who purchased the album in their stores. This photo has the NBC TV Special announcement at the base of the back side. The more common variety of the photo does not mention the TV Special. Contrary to what many people believe, these photos were NOT included inside of sealed "Flaming Star" albums! If you have a sealed copy, a photo will NOT be inside.
