Description
Elvis Presley SURRENDER/LONELY MAN 37-7850 , COMPACT 33 SINGLE . Original 1961
Very difficult to find, in any condition.
Sleeve is in VG condition with medium ring wear, light handling at top edge, a couple of light wrinkles at the record edge and light edge wear. See the photos. There is a red pen line on one side. There are no seam splits.
There is a .98 cent paper strip that was placed on the sleeve by the original 1961 vendor to prevent the record from falling out or worse, being stolen.
The record itself is VG+++. Vinyl has some extremely light paper scuff lines from being removed from the sleeve. A light scratch on the LONELY MAN side. Record is glossy and shinny as new and plays with no issues. The lables are NM. ( THE two small white dots that you see on the SURRENDER side are typical printing issues and no attempt has been made to try and hide anything ) Spindle holes are very nice and undamaged.
This is a very nice, clean disc and WORTH MORE THAN THE OPENING BID alone.
Also, I have included a reproduction of the original sleeve with the original sleeve and record. Three pieces as shown in the photo.
This is a very accurate discription. No disappointments.
For bidders that aren't familiar with this record, the value of a near mint copy of the sleeve is $1000 and the record is $800. Even though this isn't close to NM, the starting bid or buy it now price is MORE THAN A GREAT DEAL for this extremely RARE Elvis Presley record.
