Description
Elvis Presley Style vol 2 unique & rare Japan EP 1956
EP-1177 I want you I need you I love you / I love you because / My baby left me / Will you Willyum (by Janis Martin) (released September 1956)
Comments: the very early Japanese Elvis EPs came with covers wrapped inside an integrated plastic jacket. This is one of those EPs. The plastic jacket is still attached to the cover (the plastic jacket is actually a part of the cover - you cannot remove the picture sleeve without damaging the plastic jacket; very interesting design) which, if you look very closely you’ll see differs slightly from the US Elvis Presley (Shake, rattle & roll) EP. There are 3 tracks by Elvis and one by Janis Martin. There were quite a few other Elvis records released with other people’s songs on them.
Sleeve: there is some wear to the plastic jacket along the open end of the sleeve and also over the Victor logo where the cover has been split slightly. The sleeve itself also has a couple of small marks near the Victor logo where something must have rubbed the sleeve at one time. Overall, it’s still pretty clean with no staining or writing on the cover which has the English lyrics and a picture of Janis on the back: VG
Record: quite a bit of scuffing but nothing serious; VG-
I have many other 50s and 60s Japanese Elvis singles & EPs for auction this week and some albums and CDs in my store. Thanks for looking.
Postage for one 45 is as follows: $4.50 to the United States, Canada, the UK and elsewhere in Europe, Australia and NZ, $5.50 to South America; $3.75 to Asia. If you would like to purchase more than one record, I will combine shipping. This will save you money on shipping. Please e-mail me for rates for more than 1 record.
PAYMENT TERMS: I prefer Paypal but if you’d prefer to pay in cash please let me know before sending any money. If you wish to pay by any other method, please let me know. It may be possible. However, I’m afraid I can’t accept banker’s drafts – the bank charges too much commission.
