This is an auction for an ORIGINAL EXTREMELY RARE copy of the 1961 EP release of ELVIS PRESLEY - Surrender / Lonely Man in the USA.

The record itself (37-7850) is in VERY GOOD condition with some light visible marks/scratches ( nothing too deep or drastic though) and retains some of it's natural sheen.

This would grade way higher, however there is a crack which runs from the centre small hole to the trail off, but NOT on the playing surface and will not affect play!

A mint copy of this record sets you back a cool $1000 for the record alone!

The centre labels are quite bright and have NO WRITING but do have a couple of score marks , 1 of which i believe caused the crack(hence the lower starting price).

This is one of the tougher to find USA single releases as it plays at 33.3 rpm and has a small centre hole(rather than the normal large centre jukebox hole)

The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as a whoppiing $600-700 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is in VERY GOOD+ )for the sleeve alone!!!

This sleeve is over 53 years old and is in reasonable condition for the age.

This RARE sleeve has NO SPLITS, RIPS or WRITING!(see photos)

The only things that stop this from grading higher is a tiny piece missing on the top opener on one side and some damage from where a label has been removed.(see photos)

That said this is a nice enough affordable collection filler until that mint $2000 (£1200+) record and sleeve comes along!

The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!

Overall 2 years ago this was still valued at $800+(£500 approx) .

Due to the crack in the record i will start well under that and under the £375+ valuation for the sleeve alone!

With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
