Elvis Presley "(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear"/"Loving You" June 11, 1957
RARE ORIGINAL, RCA Victor, 20-7000, Seated Dog
Original 78 rpm release (June 11, 1956) of Presley's RCA single, "(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear." The B-side is "Loving You." Artist listed as Elvis Presley with The Jordanaires. "Teddy Bear" reached #1 and remained there for seven weeks in the summer of 1957. It also marked his fourth single to hit #1 on the R&B Best Sellers List. Both singles are listed on the label as coming from the Hal Wallis Paramount film "Loving You." Matrix numbers H2WB-2193/-0418 for the A- and B-sides, respectively. Don't be confused to see H2WB instead of H2WW -- H2WW was used for the 45 rpm release, not the 78! "New Orthophonic High Fidelity" on the RIGHT side of the label. The vinyl is in very good to VG+ condition, with only some small scratches on the dead wax and a few scuffs on the pressing. It sounds wonderful on the turntable, almost like new, with only a slight bit of surface noise on playback.TRACK LISTING:
