Description
On 5th July, 1954 Elvis presley recorded "That's All Right". It was the start of a seventeen month association with Sun Records that would change both popular music and pop culture forever - and this is the single event generally considered to be the birth of rock and roll. In the 50 years that have followed, that day has been so analysed and chronicled that it takes this Golden Anniversary release of that original Sun recording to remind the world just how remarkable it all was. With Sam Phillips at his side, Elvis, over a few short months, invented the sound and look of rock 'n'roll. "That's All Right" was only ever released as a single in the US and has never actually been released in the UK as a single before - until now...
