Elvis Presley - The Best of Elvis - 10” LP HMV 1957.
Here we go with my FINAL three 10” LPs for Sale.
This one is the Classic “ The Best Of Elvis” from 1957 on the HMV label.
I’ll try my best to describe this, as it’s complicated, so read on :
The easy bits :
The original inner sleeve is in VG+ condition : no rips/tears etc but showing signs of its age, especially along the top, yellowing….
The record itself is in VG condition….( maybe VG+ condition )…….there’s many marks/lines, BUT the record plays through perfectly on my 1970s Fidelity record player with good, strong sound and NO skips or jumps.
Now, the difficult bit : the cover :
It’s original, BUT has had a tear along the back and a smaller one at the top repaired ( see photos )…..
The back looks as if it has been Re-Laminated at some point ( not very well, either as the re-laminated plastic sticks out at the spine )….
Having said that, the whole Cover sleeve is now intact because of this, and looks great as you can see from the photos.
A great filler to have of this RARE LP until that Mint Copy ( is there one out there ? ) ever comes up.
I’ll start at ( what I think is ) a reasonable Start Price.
