Elvis Presley – The Truth About Me, presented by Weekend Mail, 1957 6” 78rpm record in Mailer.

This is a decent example of the 6” single-sided 78 rpm record – The Truth About Me by Elvis Presley (the H.M.V Recording Star) who talks about various inane subjects for a few minutes! (Sorry Elvis fans - but sounds totally bored with what he is waffling about!) It was ‘presented by’ (available by mail order from) the Weekend Mail newspaper in 1957. It plays with some crackle/hiss and has to be graded as VG, but there are no nasty scratches and it certainly has no scratches or chips. The record is in its original mailing envelope and still has the original card stiffener inside. I am not sure what the post mark has been scribbled on but I can see that it was posted to an address in Datchet, Berkshire on April 2nd 1957.
