Description
Marty Lacker spent twenty years of his life with Elvis Presley. As foreman of the Memphis Mafia, the group of down home boys who surrounded Elvis day and night he suffered the bad times and celebrated the good. Here is the story of the private Elvis and how he escaped the isolation of super stardom by creating his own strange world of nightime pleasures. The all night movies. the midnight tgrips to Las Vegas just for fun. the wild parties and rowdy good times at Graceland. Mary tells it all. And doesn;'t stop there.because this is the real Elvis the one you've never seen before. A man who shunned the world that adored him to seek happiness in the love and devotion of the people who loved him best And who eventually turned to pills to relieve the strain of being the most famous and adored man of his time.
