Elvis Presley- The '56 Sessions Volume 2 (UK 18 track vinyl LP compilation issued thru RCA Camden in UK LP 3030) The '56 Sessions organized all of the recordings Presley made during his phenomenal national debut year in chronological order. This second volume, covering three recording sessions conducted from July to September, presented 18 songs that consolidated Presley's breakthrough -- among them the U.S. number ones "Love Me Tender" (title track of his first motion picture), "Love Me," and "Too Much," the Top 40 hits "Anyway You Want Me (That's How I Will Be)," "When My Blue Moon Turns to Gold Again," "Poor Boy" (also from Love Me Tender), and "Playing for Keeps," and the chart entries "Paralysed" and "Old Shep." Presley's ability to transform country and R&B into rock & roll was well-displayed on recordings that filled out the spare instrumentation of his Sun sides with drums, extra guitar, and backup singers who allowed Presley to stretch his range into doo wop. Though already well-known, this material had been haphazardly scattered among singles, EPs, and albums. Here in context, it made better sense and remained as revolutionary as ever.  LP is housed in picture sleeve in excellent condition showing only light wear.  Vinyl LP is in excellent condition
