EmArcy Records - Rare Helen Merrill Orig. DG Mono Blue Back MG 36006 – VG to VG+
You are bidding on an extremely rare recording from 1955 of Helen Merrill on the EmArcy (Mercury division) jazz label. Includes Clifford Brown, Oscar Pettiford, Milt Hinton, Bobby Donaldson, etc. (see pic of back cover).
Looks to be a “Deep Groove” Mono original or early edition pressing with the blue back jacket and blue/silver deep groove label.
The matrix number stamped in the dead wax run-out of each side:
YMG 36006 A MF 2
YMG 36006 B MF 1
Overall I would say this record is in VG to VG+ condition--vinyl and jacket. Inner sleeve is basic and has a small tear and folding (I am not sure if it's the original or not).
