   For sale is Emmylou Harris' Quarter Moon In A Ten Cent Town, originally released in 1978 by Warner Brothers Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers WW-1/WW-1, followed by what appears to be a tipped over martini glass. This "glass" actually represents a Winchester rifle. These etchings indicates that the first stamper was used to press this first edition at Capitol Record's pressing plant located in Winchester, Virginia. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it in a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint and is unique in that it is the only version that I've ever seen with a larger picture of Emmylou on the side with the credits.  Most versions have a smaller picture of Emmylou with the credits inside a box on the opposite side of the inner sleeve. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint. I'm play grading it as Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG+ because of corner blunts, faint ring wear, sticker residue on the top right hand corner of the front cover and edge rubs. The spine has color loss at the corners from these blunts and in the middle from rubs. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet. This is still one of the best copies of this hard to find record that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find a first edition Winchester pressing like this one.
