Emmylou Harris Rare ORIG US Promo LP Gliding bird EX ’70 Jubilee JGS8031 Country
Rare Original US Promo LP released in 1970 on JUbilee Records. Cat: JGS-8031.Harris typically omits Gliding Bird from her discography; her first record, it was issued on the folk label Jubilee, which filed for bankruptcy within weeks of the LP's release. Cut before her tenure with Gram Parsons, it's a straightforward folk effort, owing more to Joni Mitchell than anything else; although most of the songs were composed by Tom Slocum, Harris' first husband, there are also a number of ill-suited covers, including Hank Williams' "I Saw the Light" and the Burt Bacharach/Hal David composition "I'll Never Fall in Love Again."

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause some light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover has some ring wear, a deletion hole on bottom left corner and the start of small seam splits on top left and right corners and is in VG+ condition.
