David Lynch's movie blew everyone's minds, and the soundtrack was a huge part of that. This is my original copy (my name is on the inside of the jacket, that was sent to me at the college station I ran back in the early 80s. Sadly the advertised poster on the sticker was now given to a now very ex-boyfriend. David Lynch's audio part of his movies and tv (Twin Peaks!) are a huge part of the appeal of his work. This LP is a great find for lovers of Lynch's work, and lovers of experimental music. This album wasn't only important because of the cult movie Eraserhead - a lot of times it was people's first exposure to experimental music, and spawned all sorts of other recordings and compositions. The vinyl is in very good condition. The cover has normal wear and tear, and the original sleeve is intact in pretty good condition. The original soundtrack is designed and produced by David Lynch & Alan R. Splet, and the piece, In Heaven, was written for the film by Peter Ivers. It's rare to find the original vinyl in good condition. It wasn't easily found when it was first released - many record stores only received one or two copies. I was lucky to have 2 copies, and the other one was passed around to friends. This one stayed in the record library.
