Original UK MCA label stereo 2nd press LP.

This is the follow up album to 'Eric Burdon Declares War', and was recorded in LA, California in September 1970. The Black Man's Burdon was originally released in the UK by Liberty Records in December 1970, but was soon recalled due to controversy over the track PC 3, a reference to negative police attitudes of the time. It was then re-released without this track by Liberty, after the initial 30,000 copies had already been sent to the shops. In the late 1970's MCA acquired the long defunct MGM/Liberty labels catalogues and re-issued many albums, including the original uncensored version of this album.

This is the 1979 re-issue with the original track listing on the cover and labels, with the track 'PC 3' on the first record and the A-1, B-2, C-1, D-2 matrices of the uncensored pressings.
  The glossy gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some very light corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain company inners are intact & in EX condition and in EX condition.   The records are in visually EX+ condition, with only one or two faint sleeve removal hairlines and scuffs on sides 1 & 2 and a couple of faint hairlines visible on sides 3 & 4. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with no evidence spindle markings on either side.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves. Overall a really great, loud & clear listen.   The matrix nos. are; MCSP-306, A-1 mother stamper A-2, B-2 mother stamper B-1 & MCSP-306, C-1 stamper A-2, D-2 stamper A-3.
This is one of the early copies of the 2nd pressing of the original 1970 UK stereo issue of this album!
