A chance to win a very rare original 1967 MGM Mono first press (matrices ending 0-1 and 1-1) copy of Eric Burdon & The Animals' seminal psychedelic lp Winds of Change.Even rarer is finding this lp in such fantastic condition and one that plays with such audio quality.The rich deep mono sound is a joy,and there is barely even a soft background tick over both sides of the heavy vinyl!Indeed,you would be forgiven for thinking you were actually in the studio in 1967 with Eric & The Boys,inhaling a jazz woodbine,or whatever they were imbibing at the time lol ;) There are the barest wispy light hairlines and signs of sleeve romoval on the shiny heavy vinyl,but as i said do not effect the excellent playback in any way whatsoever.As always i play test my lp's on my Dual CS505-3 Audiophile Concept turntable.I feel that you would be very hard pushed to find a better example outside a sealed 1967 timewarp copy.The sleeve is in very nice and clean condition indeed.There are two slight pinholes to the rear,which do not pierce through to to the front,and a small neat signature from the previous owner,but this does not detract from the overall packge in my opinion.See pictures for more detail.The only other thing to report is that there is a small neat signature on the bottom of the label on side two.To summarise..a fantastic lp ,so rare in this condition and audio quality at what i consider a very fair start price.The groups version of the Stones classic paint it Black is stunning in it's original mono mix on here, and is something that the stereo version can't do justice.As always any questions are morethan welcome.I post anywhere worldwide.Thanks for stopping by and good luck :)
