Description
Eric Clapton "Eric Clapton"
This is an original US vinyl pressing on Atco 33-329 from 1970. This was his first solo album. This is an early pressing with alternate versions of 'After Midnight' and 'Blues Power'. When you play 'After Midnight' it begins with a little talking in the studio and someone says 'let's do After Midnight'. When you play 'Blues Power' it has a long piano/guitar intro, then a little false start. These alternate versions were mistakes and were immediately corrected on all later issues.
The matrix numbers are : Side one : ST C701879-1A CTH T and Side two : ST C701880-1A CTH T.
The songs are : Slunky, Bad Boy, Lonesome And A Long Way From Home, Afger Midnight, Easy Now, Blues Power, Bottle Of Red Wine, Lovin' You Lovin' Me, Told You For The Last Time, Don't Know Why, and Let It Rain.
Overall Condition is : Cover is VG / Record is VG-
The cover is VG with no writing and no seam splits. There is light cover wear on the front, light ring wear on the back, and small horizontal bubbles under the back cover slick. There is lots of seam wear. The vinyl looks VG- and it plays VG. There are lots of handling marks and tiny scuffs. It plays though with light background crackles and no skips. There is a big scuff on 'Let It Rain', but it plays fine. Overall it plays better than it looks. The labels are clean with light spindle marks. The record comes in an Atlantic inner sleeve.
About Me :
I started collecting records in 1966. I started selling in Goldmine in 1985. I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby. And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon. My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.
Packaging :
I take great care on every package and I do each one personally. I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard. Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard. Together they are very strong and unbendable. ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! ) I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve. The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.
Postage : Weight : 1 pound 5 ounces
You have to pay for the postage. I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges. There are no handling charges. All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number. Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International. You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.
