Description
This listing is for a vintage vinyl LP of the compilation album by Eric Clapton called Clapton.
This is a US white label promo 1st pressing of the LP released in 1973 by Polydor with catalog # PD 5526.
This record comes from the collection of a former record store owner who's owned it since they received it new in 1971.
Since then it's been properly taken care of and was only taken out of storage very recently. Before that it had not been played in over 40+ years.
Record Condition:
Only minor very visible surface wear is present in the way of a few very light paper scuffs.
Surface noise is fairly minimal.
Clean center labels.
Vinyl still has a very nice gloss.
There's also some light dust/dirt and a few finger print smudges, so a thorough cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound even more.
Industry Grade: EX or perhaps NM.
Jacket Condition:
Jacket is still house in the original shrink wrap.
Minor signs of light shelf wear present on edges, spine, and corners.
Some minor ringwear might be present but it's tough to tell if it's on the jacket itself or just on the outer shrink wrap.
Lower right hand front portion of the jacket does have some minor signs of cardboard creasing.
No seam splits or any other major defects.
Inner Sleeve: Original generic paper inner sleeve.
Industry Grade: VG+.
Please see the various images on this listing for further details on the condition of the record and jacket.
