Description
This is the definitive collection of the history of Eric Clapton’s genius. These six albums encapsulate his career from his first recordings with The Yardbirds through his mid-1980’s solo work. It is a phenomenal compilation. The set was released on Polydor in 1988, number 835 261-1. This is the original release of the set. The 30 page booklet of photos and notes is included as is the one page Songwriters and Publishers Index. Even the original hype sticker attached to the shrink wrap was saved. All six original inner sleeves are included as well. I have not listened to all six albums, though I did spot play each one. Albums one and two are in absolutely beautiful condition with just a couple of light scuffs. They each grade VG+. Albums three through six appear to have never been played. They are in pristine condition and grade NM. The box shows light discoloration. All corners and seams are sharp, tight, and intact. The box grades VG+. Grading Information
I only use four grades in my grading: NM, VG+, VG, and G. The only exception is a sealed album which is presumed to have vinyl in mint condition. My NM grading means that the vinyl looks as though it is the first time out of the sleeve. The VG+ rating is used on any album that has one or two small defects. You should anticipate it may have a pop here and there or some occasional background static. On a VG album you can expect that, typically, this album will play great, but you’ll see more defects on this than your VG+ rated album. Very occasionally I will list an album with a grade of G. This is one where I consider the collectible value of the album to be great enough that the copy being presented is worth having as a filler copy.Shipping Information – Combined Shipping
Shipping is $4.00 in the continental U.S. I happily combine records from multiple auctions to reduce total shipping cost. In fact, I welcome it! The $4.00 cost for U.S. shipping applies regardless of the number of auctions won in any 5-day period.Canada shipping is calculated based on weight using US Postal Service rates. Combined shipping is also welcomed here and does result in significant per-album cost savings. Canada shipping rates have gone up dramatically. Because of the weight of this set it will need to be sent at the Priority rate, which is $45.
Likewise for all other international locations, the Priority rate will apply. That rate is $55.
All albums will be shipped in specially designed album hard cardboard mailers with a cardboard insert to prevent damage upon opening. I am committed to one day turnaround on shipments. If I receive payment before 7:00 AM Central Time I will package and ship that same day. Payment by Paypal is preferred.
