Eric Clapton Derek & the Dominos NM Layla LP in Shrink

From the greatest guitarist in Rock & Roll history, here is your chance to own an original copy of Eric Clapton’s double gatefold landmark LP entitled “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs” STILL IN ITS ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP WITH THE STICKER ATTACHED!!! This is ATCO (Atlantic) RECORDS SD 2-704 released in 1970. This is the original pressing with the yellow Atco labels. The LP has so many GREAT cuts including “Layla”, “I Looked Away”, “Bell Bottom Blues”, “Keep on Growing”, and “Little Wing” just to name my particular favorites.  The COVER is VERY STRONG VG+ to NEAR MINT CONDITION. There is just some slight wear on the corners where the shrink exposed them. There are a few small tears in the shrink wrap, but they do not detract from the condition of this beautiful cover where the shrink is nice and tight. But what’s REALLY GREAT about this LP is that it comes with the original clear sticker affixed to the front cover at top left that states that the LP is a “2-LP Set”, has the LP name “Layla” by “Derek and the Dominos” and lists the band members: “Eric Clapton, Jim Gordon, Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle, Duane Allman”. I’ve heard that a decision was made by Atlantic Records to add the sticker for fear that the buying public would not read the rear cover small print and realize that “Derek and the Dominos” was, in fact, Eric Clapton and his select lineup of other musicians including the great Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers.  (Please check my other auctions for an Allman Brothers WL Capricorn Records PROMO LP also up for bids.) The VINYL and LABELS (ALL 4 SIDES) ARE NEAR MINT! Most likely, only a still sealed copy of this LP would be better than the LP being offered in this auction. This is a gatefold LP, but with the shrink wrap in place, the inside has not seen the light of day since assembled at the pressing plant. FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY GRADE the LPs and 45s I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
