Eric Clapton MFSL Test Pressing of 461 Ocean Boulevard VG+ LP MoFi ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING.
VERY VERY RARE! NEVER RELEASED TO PUBLIC!
MoFi MFSL (Mobile Fidelity) Original Master Recording vinyl pressing of Eric Clapton's 461 Ocean Boulevard (1974).
This is a 1993 vinyl Test Pressing of what would've been release MFSL 1-196. Yet the album has never been released to the public on vinyl. A very limited number of these test pressings ever leaked out to the public. Record was purchased from Pennsylvania's Red Trumpet in 1998. Was never actually released by Mobile Fidelity.
Overall the record is in remarkably good shape. Song #4 on side A has a light scratch that does not effect playback. The last song on side B has a light scratch that does not effect playback. There are a few light pops on side A and in between songs during quiet passages their is very minor occasional crackle. Side B has a pop at the end of the first song. Aside from minor imperfections the vinyl is excellent. Aside from the light surface scratches described the rest of the vinyl is mint. Rating VG+ due to the described surface scratches.
The vinyl was cleaned once with the Vinyl Styl cleaning system. The record was only played once on a new old stock Technics SL1200MK2 with a new Stanton Trackmaster II cartridge.
