Up for bid is a rare LP, "Eric Dolphy At The Five Spot," featuring Booker Little, Mal Waldron, Richard Davis, and Eddie Blackwell. See pictures for song list. This was released by Prestige / New Jazz (8260). LP is VG+, with light scuffs on either side. There is also a pressing defect - there is a small bubble in the vinyl near the middle of song 2 on side A. Unfortunately, my needle keeps getting "hung up" at this spot. I tried adjusting the weight on the tone arm, but it did not do the trick. This LP sounds great (except for the one small spot on side a) - plays with some surface noise (some intermittent crackle and tics, and the one skip). Surface noise may be greatly reduced with a professional clean. Interior labels are purple with silver lettering with a deep groove on either side. RVG is stamped in the matrix area on both sides. Interior labels are very clean. LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss. Interior labels have "203 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J." address printed at the bottom of each side. The address on the back of the jacket reads 203 SO. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J. Jacket is VG+, with no seam splits. All corners show wear. There is a small wear spot on the bottom seam near the front bottom right corner about 1/2 inch long. There is ring wear on the front and back of the jacket.There is some discoloration and scuffing on the back of the jacket (see pictures). Don't miss this rare gem!
