Description

This is Douglas Records SD 785, Eric Dolphy Iron Man, a silver label, original stereo issue, of this classic session featuring a truly all-star group including Richard Davis, Lasha and Simmons, Woody Shaw and Clifford Jordan. The record has a wide brush stroke across the entire last track on side 2 (the duet). It is wide but not deep and remarkably, does not cause any noise or distortion.  The rest of the record looks near mint and the record plays quietly throughout.  The beautiful, laminated  cover is excellent and intact. The labels are excellent as well with only light spindle marks. The record has been  cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.  An excellent, initial "play" copy of this rare original issue.
