From the liner notes: "This record was produced during the early part of 1964, when Eric Dolphy and producer Alan Douglas decided to experiment with Eric's original compositions. 

Two approaches were agreed upon. One was of clear simplicity; Eric on reed instruments and Richard Davis on bass. The other was more involved - a ten piece orchestra of young men who understood and admired Eric's work. 

The recording sessions took place late at night in a very relaxed studio for five successive nights. In this environment the playing of Eric Dolphy, Richard Davis and the other musicians was unbelievably inspired. So much was created, individual compositions went from 'almost commercial' to 'very far out.' 

Two albums were produced from that beautiful week. The first, called 'Conversations,' was released through FM Records (now available through the Roulette Record catalogue). On this, the second, is incorporated performances that were considered too futuristic to put out at that time."

         Super Hard To Find In This Original 1968 Vintage Vinyl Edition !!!

Vinyl Is In Very Good to Very Good Plus Condition:

(There are a few minor scratches, and some surface scratches in general,

some minor scuffing and rubbing marks, and some general age related wear. 

That said, there is some truly amazing music to be enjoyed in these 

original 1968 grooves. It is a fantastic album filled with great music.

This is Eric Dolphy playing live at the top of his game.)

Also, I always ship items in proper shipping packaging, with padding or packing peanuts or cardboard bracing. Whatever is required to get it safely through the worldwide mail systems.

About shipping - The US Post Office raised the rates on postage as of January 1st 2013. Also, please understand this in advance, I use the e-bay calculator to figure out postage. Sometimes, it is wrong, and presents a cost that is higher then the actual cost at the post office. If and when this is the case, I always refund the difference via Paypal.

Please Note: Overseas Packages that go through the Customs system, can take up to 4 to 6 weeks to Process and Deliver, this IS normal. For Russia and the Middle East, this can take even longer and is completely out of my control, so please be patient.

Also, there is a small (cost) fee for the packaging materials that I get from Box City, in order to safely ship the items.
