ERIC DOLPHY Out To Lunch Music Matters (Blue Note) MMBST 84163
Up for auction is a numbered (#982 of 1000) 2 x 45 rpm 2009 Music Matters reissue of Eric Dolphy's one and only formally released Blue Note session, "Out To Lunch". Recorded late winter 1964 just before Dolphy's ill-fated move to Europe, this session is surely one of the best modern Blue Note releases. Timeless and essential lp that belongs in all jazz collections. This particular pressing is maybe the best listen out there outside of an original 1964 stereo Plastylite pressing.
DEAD WAX INFO: Far too much for me to bother and list. See Discogs entry if interested. VINYL VISUAL: NM with nothing worth mentioning.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: NM with as new fidelity. As I stated above, probably the 2nd best listen of this lp to an original stereo Plastylite pressing.
COVER VISUAL: NM with no real issues to mention (the slightest of corner wear). A beauty!

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER). Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory. SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST.
