Description
This is the *RARE* 1960 1st pressing of this seminal jazz album. Play-tested and plays beautifully. It's deep groove and has RVG etched in the deadwax/runout. Glossy vinyl. Minimal surface noise; no ticking except a 1/8" scratch on one track causes 2 or 3 ticks, otherwise it would be rated VG+. Vinyl also has visible, non-feelable paper scuffs/lines that don't affect play. Jacket has small nicks at all four corners. Front is beautiful. Back has obvious cosmetic damage. Back of jacket, lower right corner, has Sam Goody clerk's initials from time I bought this record in early 1960s at Goody's big store on W. 49th St in NYC. That was Goody's sales procedure then. Spine is intact but with some flaking and 1/2" split near title; printed information there is legible.
