Description

Erkin Koray is one of the most unconventional figures in Turkish rock history. In the late 1960s, he became the Turkish symbol of the global “flower child” movement, which promoted peace and freedom. Rather than imitating Western rock, Koray’s music drew inspiration from Indian and Middle Eastern sounds, creating a style entirely his own. This album is a compilation of Koray’s singles from the early 1970s, featuring standout tracks such as “Şaşkın”, “Eyvah”, and “Arap Saçı”. Known for introducing Turkish audiences the “Groove” and “psychedelic sounds”, Koray’s impact on music was profound. Comes as a 180 grams black vinyl.
